This advice is common sense and greatly appreciated. I’ve been changing oils for over 50 yrs in my cars. Oil has improved dramatically and it’s interesting that we have a repeat problem ~ carbon and fuel dilution. The carburetor dumped raw gasoline into crankcase much like the new Gas Direct Injection engines. Today the EPA sets unrealistic anti pollution targets for cars & trucks. Engine performance, durability and reliability are sacrificed for emissions. It takes time to perfect new technology. New tech today reminds me of the 1980s when engines were first choked with catalytic converters. I personally used 5K OCI with synthetic for modern cars and 3K for carbureted cars. It’s interesting to note manufacturers use different oil weight…
